Speed test with Sierra Wireless Modules

Sierra Wireless modules can operate in different Radio Access Technologies (RAT) such as GSM, UMTS, HRPD and LTE. Depending on the RAT, the network speed of the module will vary.

The Sierra Wireless’s modules signal condition will also impact the network speed. To assess the network bandwidth, a speed test can be performed with the AT Command Tester tool.

How to perform speed test with Sierra Wireless module?

• Connect the module to a host PC and install drivers for the Sierra Wireless module.
• Create a dial-up connection using the Sierra Wireless module.
• Using the AT Command Tester tool, run upload/download speed test.
