Check SIM status with Sierra Wireless Modules
Sierra Wireless modules requires SIM card to operate on the cellular networks. Without the SIM card, the device is in non-operational mode. Your application code should first check if the SIM is active before performing any activity that requires the network service.
AT Command Tester tool provides an easy interface to check if the SIM is present and active. In addition to checking the SIM status in Sierra Wireless modules, the tool can also,
- Lock/Unlock the SIM
- Setup new SIM PIN code
- Change current SIM PIN code
- Clear the SIM lock
- Enter PUK code of SIM unlock has been tried maximum number of times.
How to check SIM status in Sierra Wireless Module?
AT+CPIN command is query the SIM status in Sierra Wireless module. If the SIM is present and ready, the command returns READY status of the SIM.
