Above response indicates that the SIM868 has not found any network yet and AT+COPS=0,2 indicates that the module is still searching for the network.
Things to check,
– Antenna connector to the module
– Signal condition where you’re testing
– Does the module supports the bands of the network provider?
Hi – Can you check if the module has successfully registered with the network using the the AT+CREG command?
If you’re using the AT commands for MQTT on the Simcom module, you will need 3G or 4G cellular network connection.
Did you check the below instructions page?
Are you testing on a development board? You my want to monitor the serial traffic on your PC to check if you’re getting anything back from the module at all.

Hi Gudjon – Thanks for pointing out this bug, will address this bug in next release of AT Command Tester.
HTTP, FTP, GPS and TCP/UDP support is available in the ‘AT Command Tester for Simcom Modules’ version of the app.
If you bought ‘AT Command Standard’
Does your modem not support other baud rates?
You can send AT+IPR? command in putty and check what baud rates are supported.
Then you can select one of baud rates supported by AT Command Tester.
Please check the path in Run_ATCommandTester.sh script,
– For RaspberryPi, library path should be set to RxTx-arm
– Verify full directory path is correct..
java -Djava.library.path=/home/user/AT_Tester/RxTx-arm -jar ./ATCommandTester.jar
