Why I get no response from the HTTP-Server? Normally every request gets a response, or not? Connection is fine, but Signal-Strengt is only 9 (marginal), maybe this is already the solution?

Here is what the AT Command Tester says:

    Checking registration status…

    AT+CREG?

    +CREG: 0,1

    OK
The device is registered in home network.

    AT#SCFG?

    #SCFG: 1,1,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 2,1,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 3,1,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 4,2,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 5,2,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 6,2,300,90,600,50

    OK
Checking if socket connection is activated…

    AT#SGACT?

    #SGACT: 1,0

    OK
cid 1 is not active Activating now..

    AT#SGACT=1,1

    #SGACT: 10.33.150.10

    OK
PDP activation sucess. IP address is 10.33.150.10
    Connecting tohttps://www.m2msupport.net/m2msupport/http_get_test.php

    AT#SD=1,0,80,”www.m2msupport.net”

    CONNECT
    Sending HTTP data:

    GET /m2msupport/http_get_test.php HTTP/1.1
    Host:www.m2msupport.net
    Connection:keep-alive

    NO Carrier: Call dis-connected

Did you try a different HTTP server? Try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3GPP in the URL field.

I tried http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3GPP but its also the same

    AT#SD=1,0,80,"en.wikipedia.org"

    CONNECT
    Sending HTTP data:

    GET /wiki/3GPP HTTP/1.1
    Host:en.wikipedia.org
    Connection:keep-alive

    NO CARRIER
    NO Carrier: Call dis-connected

After about 2mins there will be the message No Carrier.
I changed the operating-place, now I have s signal strength of 22, what is excellent.
Normally there should be a response from each HTTP-request, shouldn´t it?

It is strange you’re not seeing any response since PDP activation is sucessful and you’re getting a ‘CONNECT’ response for the TCP connection. What buad connection do you have on the serial port? I’ve seen some issues with auto-baud configuration on the serial port. So I typically set it for a rate.

In the ‘Command mode’ tab, you can do,
    AT+IPR=38400
    OK

Then you need to disconnect and connect again with 38400 as the baud rate on the AT Command Tester.
I’m not saying this is the cause of your issue, just something to check before debugging other things..

    Hello Sir,

May I know how to send continuous data stream coming from serial port of telit Gl-865 on to webserver. At present I am using HTTP POST request and uploading but the problem I am facing here is that data will uploaded on to remote database only for 14 times and after that it disconnects and again after say 20 sec it starts uploading data.. may I know the problem and solution to it.

    Thank you
    Regards
    Gokul

Yeah it is really strange… the Connection is already established and the modem gets no Response.
I tried to change the baud-rate but that also had no effect.
Maybe there is a Problem with the sim-card?
    I will call the provider!
Or do you have another idea?

    thanks

    Hi Verkom,
It is probably a good idea to check with the SIM provider. Here are other things you could do,

    – Put the SIM on a different device (mobile phone) and check if you can verify data connectivity.
    – Check voice connectivity (if the SIM supports voice plan) through the ‘Voice’ tab of AT Command Tester

Do you have 2 pairs of carriage return/line feed after the “Connection:keep-alive”. The blank line terminates the header – the server will delay processing the request until it receives that, and eventually time out.

I had flow control enabled and connected me to disconnect AT & K0 and worked perfect.
I would like to ask you to keep Gokul as continuous communication, you can explain?

    Riqui,
    Thanks for the update..

The default exchange timeout value for the socket is 90 sec. Confirm this by

    AT#SCFG?

    #SCFG: 1,1,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 2,1,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 3,1,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 4,2,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 5,2,300,90,600,50
    #SCFG: 6,2,300,90,600,50

    OK

Check the status of the socket when you think HTTP is not responding,
    AT#SS

    #SS: 1,0
    #SS: 2,0
    #SS: 3,0
    #SS: 4,0
    #SS: 5,0
    #SS: 6,0

    OK

Check if PDP context is still active,
    AT+CGACT?
