I do set it to text mode, but I don’t know why it still gives me that error. Everything seems right but I don’t know what I am missing.

Would you be able to send the output from the Log window after you sent the message from the ‘SMS’ tab?

CME ERROR:500 is ‘Unknown Error’ as per the standard. Possible causes could be,
    – If the phone number you’re sending the SMS is invalid. Please check if you can send SMS to that number from another device (phone) using the same number string.
    – Check with your service provider if your SIM is provisioned for SMS service. Agaain you can use the same SIM card on your phone and see of if you can send SMS. This way you can isolate if this is a device related ot SIM related issue.

I can call and text without any issues on my phone, I have Simple Mobile Sim Card. I am still not sure about the problem.

Does voice call or data call on the module works?

Is the device getting attached to the network?

    AT+CGATT?

    +CGATT: 1

    OK
Device is attached to the network
