Under the HTTP tab in the AT Command Tester, there is a lits of Bearers. When attempting to list the bearers, I’m met with the following response:

    Getting Bearer profiles..

    AT+SAPBR=4,1

    ERROR
    Unable to get bearer profiles.

    AT+SAPBR=4,2

    ERROR
    Unable to get bearer profiles.

    AT+SAPBR=4,3

    ERROR
    Unable to get bearer profiles.

I assume I actually do need a valid Bearer for making HTTP requests over GPRS, but I didn’t find much information about that.

I followed the insructions to set up a Data Call (http://m2msupport.net/m2msupport/data-call-at-commands-to-set-up-gprsedgeumtslte-data-call/)

    AT+CGATT=1

    OK
    AT+CGACT=1,1

    OK
    AT+CGPADDR= 1

    +CGPADDR: 1,”10.101.17.78″

    OK

This seems to be fine, but then I wanted to proceed with an HTTP request (http://m2msupport.net/m2msupport/at-command-for-http-functions-for-remote-server-data-access/)
But this already failed on the first line.

    AT+HTTPINIT

    ERROR

My best guess at this point is the missing entries in the Bearer list, but I’m not absolutely certain about this.

    Hi Peter,
Currently the HTTP interface is only supported for the SIMCOM modules. In the next version of the tool, that’ll be clear and i’m also adding support for Telit modules. What module are you currently using?

    I am using Telit GL865-DUAL V3

If HTTP is not supported, can you tell me how to make data calls then? What kind of software do I need on our server to accept non HTTP-requests?

    Peter,
Just to clarify what I said, AT Command tester tool does not support testing those interfaces with Telit modules yet.. I’m planning to release that in a week timeframe..
On Telit modules, you can make a TCP or UDP conection to your server. you can establish a HTTP or FTP connection to your server..

Telit modules provides interfaces to set up socket connections. Please check thier AT command document.
Here is an examples to set up a HTTP connection.

//Activate the socket. This assumes socket is configured to use teh right PDP profile
// On sucessful activation you should see that you’ll get a IP address alloted
    AT#SGACT=1,1
    #SGACT:169.33.44.44
    OK

//Dial the activated socket. This makes HTTP conenction (port 80) to your server over TCP
    AT#SD=1,0,80,”www.yourserver.com”,0,0
    CONNECT

    //then send HTTP formatted data
    GET /HTTP/1.1
    Host:www.yourserver.com
    Conenction:keep-alive

Please check back within a week, so that you may be able to test this AT command tester on the Telit module.

I have the same problem but I use a Sim5216E module. I cannot establish a http connection because of the missing bearer profile? I don´t know what´s happening here. Does anybody have an idea?

    Here is the log:

    Checking registration status…

    AT+CREG?
    +CREG: 0,1

    OK
The device is registered in home network.

Checking if device is already connected…

    AT+CGACT?
    +CGACT: 1,0

    OK
    AT+CMEE=1
    OK
    Attaching to network…
    AT+CGATT=1
    OK

    Connecting to PDP profile 1..

    AT+CGACT=1,1
    OK
    Connection is successful
    AT+CGPADDR=1
    +CGPADDR: 1,”10.177.164.191″

    OK
IP Address of the connected profile is “10.177.164.191″

    AT+SAPBR=4,1
    ERROR
