    Ilias

I am working with the MU609 Mini PCIe module, which is a 3G Modem with an integrated GPS.
I am trying to get the GPS to lock on my position. I am following the instructions described in the application guide on how to start and configure the integrated GPS (link, page 95) on standalone mode.
Here are the instructions I am using to start the GPS receiver, on the MU609 Control Interface port:

    AT^WPDOM=0
    OK
    AT^WPDST=0
    OK
    AT^WPDST=1
    OK
    AT^WPDFR=65535,1
    OK
    AT^WPQOS=255,500
    OK
    AT^WPDGP
    OK

    ^POSEND: 12,65534

    ^POSEND: 12,65533

The problem is that the GPS never sees any satellites and as a result it never achieves a position lock. I am using a pigtail (UFL to SMA) to connect a GPS antenna, which is positioned outside the building.

Please note I have also tried AGPS mode (MSB Positioning using the User Plane Protocol) with the same results (see link, page 96).

Are there any other AT commands I should be sending to the MU609 module, in order to turn on the GPS receiver? has anyone successfully used the GPS integrated on the MU609 module?

This is the output of the NMEA sentences (GPS Port interface):

    Hi Ilias,
Did you try using the AT Command Tester tool as per below tutorial,

    http://m2msupport.net/m2msupport/tutorial-for-huawei-modules/

The tool has been tested with MU 609. In the GPS tab, select Huawei in module drop-down list.

I am having the same problem on my SIM868:

    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000047.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*52
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000048.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*5D
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000049.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*5C
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000050.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*54
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000051.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*55
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000052.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*56
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000053.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*57
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000054.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*50
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000055.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*51
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000056.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*52
    $GPGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,$GNGGA,000057.799,,,,,0,0,,,M,,M,,*53

I have a separate post about my problem, but maybe the solution is the same for both.
