I’ve just started working with the quectel mc60 and I am having some issues.

    1) when I connect it to the PC and start typing at commands with PuTTY or HyperTerminal, I cannot start typing right away. I have to go to PuTTY settings and turn on local echo, type some stuff (it will appear duplicated as a result), then close the connection and only when I open again with the standard settings, will it work normally.

    2) some commands, even some of the simplest, like AT+CSQ, only work on the second attempt. at the first attempt it always shows “+CME ERROR: 100″ or “ERROR”. only after a few times sending the exact same thing will it respond with “+CSQ: ….”. I don’t understand why is this so unstable.

    3) GPRS related commands never work. I get the response “ERROR” everytime

    4) the command AT+QHTTPURL=40,40. the first number is the length of the http url and the second number is the time I have to type the URL. What happens? sometimes I get “+CME ERROR: 100″, as explained in 2), and when it works it shows “CONNECT” (as it’s supposed to) but it doesn’t let me type the URL (it kind of freezes). some seconds after, it usually says “+CME ERROR: 3810″ (which is the error code for “http url error”) or “+CME ERROR: 3825″ (which doesn’t exist, according to the datasheet)

    >> You can try turning on the echo mode, type
    ATE1

    2) some commands, even some of the simplest, like AT+CSQ, only work on the second attempt. at the first attempt it always shows “+CME ERROR: 100? or “ERROR”. only after a few times sending the exact same thing will it respond with “+CSQ: ….”. I don’t understand why is this so unstable.
    >> Have you tried setting the autobaud, type
    AT+IPR=0

    3) GPRS related commands never work. I get the response “ERROR” everytime
    >> It looks like an issue with the serial communication between your PC and the modem.

    4) the command AT+QHTTPURL=40,40. the first number is the length of the http url and the second number is the time I have to type the URL. What happens? sometimes I get “+CME ERROR: 100?, as explained in 2), and when it works it shows “CONNECT” (as it’s supposed to) but it doesn’t let me type the URL (it kind of freezes). some seconds after, it usually says “+CME ERROR: 3810? >> You may want to resolve your serial communcation issue first..
